Material Digitisation

The materials and finishes you select for your collection play a vital role in defining your Brand Identity.

By digitizing your materials, you can achieve two significant benefits. Firstly, it enhances the commercial effectiveness of your Sales Network, enabling them to present your products with greater impact. Secondly, it allows for a gradual reduction in the costs associated with producing numerous physical samples.

With the use of Digital Samples, any updates or changes you make to your collection become instantly available to your network, with minimal or no additional costs

This provides you with the following advantages:

  • creation of additional Qualified Traffic on your Sales Network
  • Instant updates for your Distributor Partners worldwide
  • Cost savings by eliminating "unproductive" dispatch of physical samples

Texture maps facilitate effective photorealistic rendering. These maps contain the information required for accurately visualising the distinct characteristics of each material and color variation, including gloss, roughness, and repeatability. Every detail is meticulously recreated to ensure complete realism.

This applies to both your graphic configurator and the other software used daily by your business partners around the world.

The digitisation of the material sample is divided into 4 phases:

  • Analysis / Training
  • Photographic Acquisition
  • Map Creation
  • Release

The activities of photo acquisition and map creation can be carried out by Velve Solutions on a turnkey basis. Alternatively, for large volumes, it may be appropriate to initiate a consultancy project to help the client brand achieve organisational autonomy.

The Velve Materials cloud solution is a DAM/CDN (Digital Asset Management/Content Delivery Network) specifically designed for material samples. It allows the management and publication of material samples and enables their usage across various web services through an API. Here is an example of a front-end application..
